MASS


There is Mass at the usual time at weekends. Reservations are no longer required to secure places at Mass.  We have kept an area at the front of the church for socially distanced seating.  If you would like to sit in one of these places, please call or email stating your name(s) and which Mass you would like to attend.

Normal Mass Times


Saturday 6pm (except Easter Saturday)

Sunday 9am usually with hymns, but spoken at the moment
Sunday 11am usually with hymns and parts of the mass sung with the leadership of the choir, but spoken at the moment
There is usually a children’s liturgy in the children’s chapel during term time.

Monday to Saturday Mass is at 9.30 am

Holy Day of Obligation Masses are at
9.30 am, 12.30 and 8 pm

Easter Mass times


The Parish is celebrating Easter almost back to normal. 


Holy Thursday will have the washing of feet and will be on Zoom with the cameras angled hear and see the readers as well as Fr Simon at the Altar.


Good Friday will include the children and young adults stations of the Cross at 12.00 with the Passion, Bidding Prayers, including one for Ukraine, Venerating the Cross with the Reproaches- a prayer imagining God the Father watching the Passion of his Son and the distribution of Communion.


The Commemoration of the Passion at 3.00 pm will include the reading of the Passion and death of Jesus, the Passion, Bidding Prayer,s including one for Ukraine, , Venerating the Cross with the Reproaches- a prayer imagining God the Father watching the Passion of his Son and the distribution of Communion. There is a collection to help look after the Holy Places in Jerusalem.

 

On Easter Saturday the Vigil mass at 9.00pm begins in darkness with the lighting of the Easter Candle and in the Light of Christ reading the Old and new Testament. There will be a Baptism of one adult and the sacrament of Confirmation on two more adults, who will be welcomed to receive Communion with the parish Community.

  

The Easter Sunday masses at 9 and 11 are generally very full.

The Collection on Easter Sunday is the gift from parishioners to the Priest(s) for his personal expenses, clothes and car.

This is available at 11 am on Saturdays.
There are Reconciliation services in Advent and Lent.
